We assist others based on the following:

  1. It is a way of appreciating God for His provision to us as a family.
  2. It is a way of completing the Circle of Blessing of Seed Time and Harvest Time and filling the vacuum by giving back to nature, mankind and God.
  3. We believe that if every able person can assist another to become stable economically with spiritual maturity, the world will become a better place to dwell in.
  4. We also agree with the adage that says “A pipe that carries water to people does not experience dryness as long as the water keeps flowing through it”.
  5. Do unto others what you want them do unto you.
  6. We haveconsidered the scriptures below among others which also formed our basis for assisting others:
  • Matt 25:34-40 –……, And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
  • Gen 12:2 –And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
  • Num 23:20 – Behold, I have received commandment to bless: and he hath blessed; and I cannot reverse it (God commanded his servants to be a blessing).
  • Gen 8:22 - While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.
  • Gal 6:7 -Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
  • Job 8:7 –Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase. (Nehemiah the cupbearer was helped and later became a Governor).
  • Prov 11:11 -By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted.
  • 2 Cor 9:7 - God Loveth a cheerful giver.
  • Luke 6:38 - Give it shall be given unto you.
  • Gal 6:9 - And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
  • Acts 20:35 - … It is more blessed to give than to receive. (KJV)

Even if no man or God pays us back in the good we do to others, we will continue and be satisfied with the joy of being part of the success of others which is priceless and can only be earned and we know the good works willalso positively impact others through our beneficiaries in one way or the other that we may not be able to reach directly. But God is a rewarded of every good deed (Rev 22:12 -And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be - KJV).

God is also too faithful to fail those that are committed to His course.
(Dan 3:17-18  If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. 18 But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up, 25 He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God - KJV)

Our wealth does not come from what we grab in life, but from what we give. Money cannot buy happiness and contentment or peace. There is no harm in possessing riches as long as the riches do not possess you. You own nothing and God owns everything as we are only Caretakers. Whatever you have, God allowed you to have them. God allows you to possess certain things but mere possession is not ownership.

Deut 8:18 But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.

Ps 24:1The earth is the Lord’s, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

Ps 50:10-11 For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills. 11 I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine. 12 If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world is mine, and the fullness thereof.

Eze 18:4 Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.

Hag 2:8 The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the Lord of hosts.

1 Cor 6:19-20   What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

When you understand who really owns everything, then you will not have trouble trying to benefit alone with your possession. You will begin to bless others. What is your motive of being in business or the career? Is it so you can accumulate a lot of money and possessions to hoard for yourself? Any water that is stagnant and does not flow will stink overtime. Can you be trusted with prosperity? Riches gained without God are snares and do not bring peace but prosperity that comes from God and utilized in accordance to His ways brings emotional peace, happiness and great joy.

Don’t make the mistake of thinking that your business or career is what provides your incomeonly but just the channel. God is the source of your abundance supply. Jobs disappear, businesses fail; your clients, customers and your business will always come and go. It is God who sees to it that your needs are met.

Phil 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

1 Cor3:7 So then neither is he that planteth anything, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase, KJV

Giving is the trigger for God’s financial blessing. When you give to the Kingdom of God and others, it will be given back to you. But where will it come from? Who will give to you? Will God cause money to flow down from heaven so your needs are met? No. The Bible says “Shall men give into your bosom (life)” (Lk 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. KJV).

This is how the circle of blessing works. When you give to God and to man, God in turn causes others to give to you. Maybe it will be in form of new products to sell, new customers to your business, new ideas of your business improvement or expansion, an unexpected or undeserved promotion/a better job, etc. Nothing happens in the economy of God until you give something away. Everyone and everything else are just His instrument of getting it accomplished. God uses many media to get it done but in the end, it is not us but God’s blessing upon our lives.

2 Cor 9:6 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.

Lk 12:15 And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth. KJV

This does not mean that God children should not have possessions but there must be priorities in our lives:

  1. God must be recognised as the source of all things.
  2. God must be credited as the owner of all we possess and we are only Caretakers.
  3. It must be known that our spiritual prosperity is infinitely more important than our material prosperity.
  4. We must possess the giving spirit.

3 Jn 1:2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. KJV.

You may ask, if God is the only source of wealth, why are others that are not Godly or are wicked still getting rich today? The Bible gives us a very simple explanation. The ungodly or wicked who are rich are simply holding the wealth that someday God will give to His children and the blessing of the ungodly add sorrows.

Prov 13:22 A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children’s children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just. KJV

Therefore, we encourage you to develop the giving interest based on the truth above and give to promote God’s kingdom, give to support mankind or better stilldonate or sponsor to support Oriretan DGF Foundation programs for the beneficiaries. It is not about how much you have that makes you give but it is about having the spirit and understanding to give.

Prov 11:24 There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty.25 The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself. KJV
We pray that the Almighty God will richly reward you upon your giving and to give abundance grace to all that needs to get the giving spirit and understanding togivein Jesus Name.
